Sound Waves Early Literacy is an evidence-informed literacy program for Foundation to Year 2. The program provides explicit teaching in systematic synthetic phonics, word study and reading.
The Sound Waves Student Book Foundation activities consolidate the explicit teaching of phonemes, graphemes and focus concepts.
Activities include:
- applying phonemic awareness and phonics skills
- identifying focus phonemes in words
- segmenting words into phonemes and identifying graphemes
- working with Special Words, sentence writing and morphology.
